Diskeeper Workstation 6.0 is a great defragmenting program for hard drives.You can set it to exclude folders or certain file types, you can set priority levels and auto-defragment schedules and defragment system files during boot-up that are not normally able to be defragmented while online.
It has great "Set it and Forget It" features or can be used manually.

Diskeeper cannot defragment files on NTFS volumes with a cluster size greater than 4K (4096 bytes). This is due to limits built into Windows NT/2000. If this is an issue for you, please note, this product is not right for you.
Please do your due diligence if you want to purchase this product and make sure it is compatible with your hardware and software configurations. I have no idea if it will work in XP or later. If you can't ascertain this and you are planning to use it for XP, I cannot guarantee it will work, so please don't purchase it if you are not sure this version will work for any other Windows operating system than those listed.
