Large antique copper engraved map of Bohemia, a part of Poland and Germany, by Matheus SEUTTER (1678-1757). 


Mattheus SEUTTER began his career as an apprentice under tutelage of JB Homann. Then, he left Homann to establish his own independent cartographic publishing firm in Augsburg. He was one of the most prolific publishers of his time and was honored by the German Emperor Charles VI, with the title of "Imperial Geographer". 



The map is very detailed with major cities rivers. 

A large and decorative cartouche, with an allegoric scene with 3 casts of arms.




Size with margins : 53,4 x 62 cm / 20,8 x 24,4 inches


Condition : good condition, a renfort on back of the left margin, small abrasions in center fold, old colors, on strong paper.

Edition : Augsburg, from "ATLAS NOVUS", 1730, XVIIIe Century.
