1. TAKE The backing off silkscreen stencil, pulling top to bottom or side to side rather
than crossways to avoid stretching of the stencil. DO NOT allow sticky back to fold in on
itself. Always "fuzz” the stencils adhesive side before using for the first time, especially
on glass or like surfaces. To "fuzz” place the sticky side of the stencil on fabric, press in
place, then remove. Repeat a couple of times then transfer the stencil onto the desired
surface. On fabric projects be sure to get good adhesion between the stencil and fabric,
smoothing out the transfer to reduce bleeding under the stencil. Cutting the stencil along
the cut lines will make your project easier to work with.
2. APPLY Your ink or other medium by putting a thin even layer over the stencil using
a scraper or squeegee. Using your selected tool, scrape off the extra medium, and return
to its container for future uses. Work speedily when using paste or acrylic paint to
prevent clogging of the stencil silkscreen and to prolong the life of your stencil
3. REMOVE The stencil slowly from your given surface. Remember to avoid pulling
the stencil diagonally so the stencil does not stretch. As you gently remove the stencil,
check your results. If any part of the design does not transfer as anticipated, put the
stencil back in place and apply your medium again in the area of concern before
completely removing the stencil.
4. CLEAN Your adhesive stencil using cool water, followed by sanitizing wipes on
both sides of the stencil to extend the life of the adhesiveness. Some discoloration on or
staining of the stencil can occur. Staining does NOT affect the performance of the stencil.
To remove discoloration, gently rub the front of the stencil with a magic eraser.
5. DRY The stencil by placing it adhesive side up until the stencil is entirely dry. When
the stencil is fully dry, return it to the shiny side of the backer sheet.

6. STORE Stencil flat in a flat dry setting.
