Who is Behind the Books?
We Are a Small team based in Hertfordshire. As early as I can remember I had an interest in history, being fascinated by the things I found as a boy with a metal detector given to me as a present. I had a real interest in vintage items that tell a story of the past with clues on artifacts or manuscripts. I quickly became immersed in Antiques setting up an auction company and later working for an online auction portal.
Over the years I was more drawn to books, and appreciated the workmanship that goes into them, from gold leaf paper to leatherbound spines, there is something about books that just look right. I aim to keep books alive, for reading or display purposes, you can't go wrong with old books, as they like many things they just do not make them like they used to.
I am fortunate
After researching the market and starting a business I am happy assisting customers in finding the books for them whether they need to fill a bookshelf, an event centerpiece, shop window of film props, there are few books that have not found they place and element.
After a Large Book Company went bust we decided to take on the mamoth task of sorting through 20,000 Books, many with intrinsic value and collectable books.
