Very nice edition of Farnaby’s commentary on the works of Juvenal and Persius Flaccus in very good condition. Nice vellum binding in very good condition with a great frontispiece/title page engraving from Joseph Abbiati (Giuseppe Maria Abbiati). Some writing inside including a motto of some sort across from the dedication to Henry, then Prince of Wales, and a name on the rear board. Very clean with minimal foxing and some light soiling to the binding. A very nice copy of well-respected scholarship from Thomas Farnaby, Oxford scholar and schoolmaster who originally published the commentaries in 1612.Very Good Condition: 12mo: full vellum in excellent condition with some soiling: hand-inked title on spine: edge of a nice watermark at front spare: some foxing: occasional decorated capital at front: engraved title page: occasional foxing: some red speckling to the edges: “J.
