16th Air Land Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery 

1969 – 2019

On 2 June 2019, the 16th Air Land Regiment was renamed the 16th Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery.

The 16th Air Land Regiment, RAA (16 ALR, RAA) provided force protection for land forces against air and surface-to-surface fires through ground-based air defence (GBAD); a sense, warn, and locate (SnWL) capability; and command and control of Joint Air Land Integration. On 2 June 2019, the 16th Air Land Regiment was renamed the 16th Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery.
