Peruvian wool ribbons, dyed with natural pigments and produced ecologically by artisans from the Andes mountains of Peru. The ribbons are made with 100% natural alpaca and sheep wool fibers.
The process consists of: - Wash the wool naturally, without chemical fluids. - Then the wool is dried and the spinning starts. - Then it is dyed with natural dyes, such as flowers, roots, plants and seeds. - To seal the color alum is used, mineral extracted from the Andes. - Then 3 threads are woven, in order to create a resistant and durable fiber. - Finally, with the help of a wooden loom, start with the fabric of the tape.
Each fabric has a unique design, since it uses the history and life of the craftsman, who tells everything through his beautiful millenary art. Due to its different designs and colors we can use them in the ethnic, boho and eclectic styles.
