Many brake servos suffer from vacuum leaks from under the seal, which manifest themselves with loud humming, hissing and squeaking in the area of the brake pedal and reduced braking force.

The issue of the so-called hissing brake typically occurs when the brake pedal is pressed or released. This causes an audible hiss, coming from the vicinity of the pedals.

If the servo keeps hissing all the time, do not ignore it!!! It creates the risk of losing brake assist while braking. The servo seal can even explode into the interior of the vehicle !!!

The problem is caused by the way the servo is constructed, which causes seal damage according to the following rule: the more times we press the brake pedal, the bigger the damage to the seal. One of the sealing rings of the seal is literally ripped off, which causes seal deformation on the sealed rod and, as a result, vacuum leakage into the vehicle interior.

Due to this problem, the braking force is reduced and the braking distance increases. Vacuum leakage on its own also has negative impact on the fuel injection system and other systems, which rely on specific vacuum levels !!!

The only option you have is to purchase a new servo for an astronomic price since the service does not sell the seal separately !!!
