This is an older hand embroidered sample made by Fraefel Co. of St. Gall, Switzerland.
A salesman would have traveled around with these samples.
Fraefel Co. was a world class, high quality vestment maker around 100 years ago.
Excellent quality workmanship on this beautiful fabric.
The panels can be removed and applied to a vestment or cope for decoration.
You could also have them framed to create a unique piece of artwork.
The whole piece measures 29 1/2" x 17 3/4". The Chi Rho panel is 8 1/4" x 8 1/4".
