Ferrari 312 T is a Scuderia Ferrari racing car built to compete in Formula 1 championships. It became the evolution of the previous machine team, 312 B3, performing in the 1974 season. In various versions, 312 T was used by the team from 1975 to 1980. It was designed by Italian automobile designer Mauro Forgieri.

For 5 seasons, in which various modifications of the 312 T performed, the car won 27 races, brought the team four Design Cups and the racers on it three times became world champions.

The 312 T was replaced by the first turbocharged race car of the Scuderia Ferrari 126 C, on which the team pilots have been performing since 1981.

In order to comply with the revised aerodynamics rules, the car lost a high air intake located behind the pilot. Instead, two NACA-type air intakes appeared on the side of the cockpit. Each of them cools six cylinders of a 12-cylinder engine. The wheelbase was increased by 42 mm compared to 312 T. Before the tests on the car, there were also noticeable mechanical modifications, including the new de Dion rear suspension. However, after tests, it was abandoned in favor of the classic.

Modification 312 T2 was presented on the Fiorano track, where it showed a number of improvements compared to 312 T. The car made its debut at the extra-offset champion race in Brands Hatch in March 1976. Having received special permission from the FIA, Ferrari spent the first three Grand Prix of 1976 on last year's car, which did not stop her from winning all three. The debut in the framework of the Formula 1 championship for 312 T2 was the Spanish Grand Prix.

In the new car, Nicky Lauda continued to lead the championship, but a terrible accident at the Nurburgring with a fire of a car sent last year's champion to the hospital with severe skin burns. It was suspected that the accident could have occurred due to a breakdown in the rear suspension. Just six weeks later, Lauda returned to the championship and finished fourth at the Italian Grand Prix. To win the 1976 championship, Lauda in the last race had to finish higher than Hunt, however, even at the very beginning, he lost the race, but not through the fault of the car, but because of the danger of flying into heavy rain. James Hunt won the championship with a margin of 1 point on the McLaren M23, but Ferrari won the Constructors' Cup for the second time in a row.
