Golden Greens Organic Inulin is sourced from Mexican Organic Agave. Agave inulin is higher in dietary fibre and lower in sugar, when compared to the more common chicory inulin. Each 500g packet contains 100 daily servings of 5g (1 teaspoon).

Agave Inulin is 91% soluble dietary fibre which is beneficial for digestive health. It acts as a prebiotic, feeding the good bacteria in the gut in order for them to flourish and thereby make it more difficult for harmful bacteria to thrive.

Inulin can also be used as a sugar substitute, for example on cereals, as a part of a weight loss regime.

Research at the University of Colorado discovered that prebiotics "improve non-REM sleep, as well as REM sleep after a stressful event". The BBC documentary "The Truth About Sleep" (with Dr. Michael Moseley), found that inulin helped improve sleep, reducing the amount of time awake whilst in bed from 21% to just 8%.
