The 1.14 carat, Natural Jelly Opal has moderate saturation and excellent clarity, and is a sparkling orange-yellow color with traces of rainbow color-play! Photos are taken under professional lighting and are magnified at 50x zoom to show details that may not be visible to the naked eye. Accenting the rare gemstone are 1.25mm round cut, natural Diamond accents (14 total) that are I color with VS2-SI1 clarity and weigh a combined total of 0.14 carats. The ring is clearly hallmarked 14K on the inside of the 3.25mm band. When worn, the top of the ring/stone is elevated about 6mm from the finger.

Jelly opal is an opal that has a jelly look to it. It is just like crystal opal but the opal color is a little bit faint so you can see through the opal pretty easily. Jelly opal is a beautiful phenomena. Less and less of it is being found in large quantities and it is becoming quite collectible with the larger pieces being quite valuable. Opal contains every color of the spectrum, from deepest and clearest blues and iridescent greens, through to golden orange, red and fuchsia; it can be pale and delicate, or dark and brilliant. Due to its structure, opal may contain any combination of an infinite number of patterns and may reveal itself all at once - glorious from all directions – or it may be quiet and surprising, showing its greatest brilliance only during flashes of movement. Indeed, precious opal is like no other gemstone because it changes color as the observer turns the stone.
