Stop-Acid Plus Lozenges Tablets Short Description:

Stopacid Plus of Panacea is a natural specialized food supplement in the form of chewable lozenge tablets, which neutralizes stomach acids. 

It is used in hyperacidity, dyspepsia and acute and chronic gastritis. The product can also be used as an adjunct in the treatment of peptic (gastric or duodenal) ulcer and functional-secretory disorders of the stomach. 

Aluminium hydroxide is found in nature as the mineral gibbsite (also known as hydrargillite).
Under the generic name "algeldrate", aluminium hydroxide is used as an antacid in humans and animals. It is preferred over other alternatives such as sodium bicarbonate because Al(OH)3, being insoluble, does not increase the pH of stomach above 7 and hence, does not trigger secretion of excess acid by the stomach.
It reacts with excess acid in the stomach, reducing the acidity of the stomach content, which may relieve the symptoms of ulcers, heartburn or dyspepsia.
Such products can cause constipation, because the aluminium ions inhibit the contractions of smooth muscle cells in the gastrointestinal tract, slowing peristalsis and lengthening the time needed for stool to pass through the colon. Some such products are formulated to minimize such effects through the inclusion of equal concentrations of magnesium hydroxide or magnesium carbonate, which have counterbalancing laxative effects.

Calcium carbonate is a chemical compound with the formula CaCO3. It is a common substance found in rocks as the minerals calcite and aragonite (most notably as limestone.
Calcium carbonate is widely used medicinally as an dietary calcium supplement for gastric antacid.

Magnesium hydroxide is the inorganic compound with the chemical formula Mg(OH)2. It occurs in nature as the mineral brucite.
Magnesium hydroxide is used in suspension as either an antacid or a laxative, depending on concentration.

Available in a pack of 20 chewable tablets. No adverse effects have been reported with the use of such products on pregnant and lactating women. Stop acid does not affect the ability to drive and use machines. Stop acid can be used by diabetics!


How to use Stop-Acid Plus Tablets

Adult patients and children over 6 years of age: Chew or suck 1-2 tablets half an hour before meals or 1-2 hours after meals.
Maximum daily dose - 12 tablets.
Duration of application as an antacid - no more than 14 consecutive days.
The tablets can be chewed or sucked until completely dissolved in the mouth. 
Do not swallow whole tablets!
