This D20 pendant uses an open chain mail cage that allows you to wear your die in style while providing the functionality of removing it at a moment's notice for all your gaming needs and replacing it in its cage when you're done!
The chain mail cage is made using 12 saw cut brass rings in 16 gauge 3/8" ID, and 48 saw cut bronze anodized aluminum rings in 18 gauge 3/16" ID. The cage forms an unhinged dodecahedron using a 10 in 1 Japanese chain mail style. The colors of the rings are chosen to complement the die itself.
The D20 pendant hangs from a 16" 2mm thick black leather cord. 44 saw cut black anodized aluminum rings in 19 gauge 5/32" ID allow the necklace to be adjustable from 16" - 24"; it'll fit anything from a child to an adult and provides options for preference of length. The cord ends are made from gold-plated brass. The lobster clasp is nickel-free in a gold tone finish.
There's no need to take the cage off the necklace. The cord can just be moved to the side and the opening the rings form pulled apart to allow you to remove the D20. To replace, simply pull aside the rings to open the cage back up and slip the D20 back into its net.
