Notes re Glazed tiles:

• These are a rustic tile so dimensions and colour can vary from tile to tile.

• Tiles may not be perfectly square due to uneven shrinkage when fired.

• The surface may vary in the degree of undulation and texture from tile to tile.

• Hand-painted decors are all one off’s and so may vary slightly in design and colour intensity. Generally, we will offer tiles by compatible groups/batches.

• These are end of line/stock clearance, some tiles may have been part of a display and have residual velcro or hot glue residue on the reverse, but this will not affect their ability to be fixed on walls etc.

• Crazing: some tiles may show signs of crazing before, during or after fixing. This is characteristic of this type of hand made or hand-glazed tiles and is not considered a defect.

• Pictures don't do them justice so samples can be supplied if required.

Fixing:

• These tiles are normally used with grout widths of 3-5 mm

• Coverage: 

• for 10x10cm tiles, we allow 92 tiles per m2

• For 11x11cm tiles, we allow 80 tiles per m2

• For 12x12cm tiles, we allow 64 tiles per m2

• We suggest you allow for at least 10% extra for cuts and wastage.

• The tiles have been stored for a number of years and as such, some may be a bit dusty and require cleaning during fixing.

• Due to their time in storage and multiple handling, a very small number of tiles may have very minor chips to edge of glaze, which can still be used for cuts and in most cases grouting would almost certainly hide an edge blemish.
