Vintage United States Navy Bancroft Military Cap size - 7 1/8- Used United States Navy cap/hat made by and marked: Bancroft Military Caps, makers of fine caps for over 50 years, Framingham Massachusetts.
- White Cap with black visor, black chin strap and black leather sweatband. Chin strap and sweatband are intact and clean, there are no rips, tears or holes. Nice metal Chief Petty Officer emblem/badge as shown.
- There is an ID inside the hat: OSC K.S. Gorham, USS Underwood FFG 36. (Operational Support Center, Nuclear Dept of Defense, Guided Missile Frigget)
- Historical Information: USS Underwood (FFG 36) - decommissioned: March 8, 2013 - last homeported in Mayport, Florida, USS Underwood was the twenty-ninth OLIVER HAZARD PERRY - class Guided Missile Frigate and the first in the third generation (Flight III) of the class. USS Underwood was the first ship in the Navy named after Captain Gordon Waite Underwood.
