As this machine has a small 150W motor it is suitable for light polishing work only eg craft work, model making, using light pressure.
Assembly – The Bench Grinder and Polishing Kit are supplied separately. The buyer needs to Assemble the Polishing Kit to the Bench Grinder. For Assembly Instructions and Kit Contents Please Read Below. Tools required (not supplied) are a 19mm spanner and a Philips Screwdriver.

Electric Plug. Supplied fitted with a UK 3 Pin Electrical Plug. International buyers need to fit their own plug / adapter which is suitable for use in their own country.

Please Note - the Motor will Run Hot. This is normal. The run time is around 10 minutes on, allow to cool, then continue. Do Not Push Hard against the polishing wheels. This will strain the motor. Using Light Pressure with the correct polishing procedures and this will get satisfactory results.

Safety - When polishing using the spindle adapters attached to the bench grinder, suitable safety glasses, gloves and dust mask (not supplied) must be worn
Scratch Removal - If there are scratches in the item surface then a series of abrasive discs / pads (eg 500 to 2000 Grit) may need to be used first prior to the polishing process.
Assembly - The Polishing Kit is supplied separately to the Bench Grinder and needs to be assembled / attached by the following method.
Spindle Adapter Fitting
Once the bench grinder side guards and the grinding wheels have been removed (please note that the left hand grinder shaft has a left hand nut), the mop spindle adapters are then slid over the grinder shafts. There is a right hand and a left hand spindle adapter in the kit. Please remove the grub screws in the adapters first and then fit the adapters as far as they will go onto the shaft. Once fitted, reinsert the grub screws (one in each adapter) and tighten them using your allen key (not supplied)
Polishing Add-On Kit Contents
2 x Bench Grinder Spindle Adapters (1 x left and 1 x right - short versions)
These are used to attach polishing mops to the bench grinder shafts.
1 x 4" x 1/2" Sisal Metal Polishing Wheel.
1 x 4" x 1/2" White Stitch Metal Polishing Wheel.
1 x 4" x 1/2" Loose Fold Polishing Wheel.
For use with the Flexible Drive Shaft
1 x 75mm Mounted Cotton Polishing Wheel
1 x 50mm Nylon Fibre 240 Grit Sanding Mop
3 x Mounted Cotton Mops (1 each of cylinder, dome, goblet) - 6mm shank
4 x Felt Bobs (1 each of cylinder, conical, bullet, ball) - 6mm shank
1 x Flexible Drive Shaft - 1200mm long. 10mm Capacity Drill Chuck. The Flexible Drive Shaft must NOT be over bent or pulled tight as this may permanently damage it, invalidating any warranty.
1 x Flexible Drive Shaft Adapter - for attaching the flexible drive shaft to the bench grinder shaft. The adapter attaches the same way to the bench grinder shaft as the spindle adapters do.
