Real House Canada wants to share the secret to maintaining your beauty. Simple, long-lasting beauty comes from treating your body right on the inside. That’s why we proudly launched our Beauty Secret® Series in order to help ladies of all ages maintain their beauty and radiance. Staying beautiful doesn’t come from a plethora of cosmetics, but rather from treating our bodies right on the inside. Maintaining beauty while you look young is vital if you want to retain your beauty throughout your life. Our Real Unique Beauty Nu Skin advanced formula improves your looks by supplying your body with the nutrients it needs to maintain a youthful glow and remain “frozen in time.”

You need a healthy dose of collagen in order to maintain healthy skin. Collagen production in our bodies starts to decrease after the age of 20, and by 25, our body stops producing collagen. A loss of collagen results in our skin losing elasticity and collagen depletion leads to wrinkled, yellowish, and dried-out skin. Exposure to sunlight, pollution, and habits such as smoking can also decrease our body’s collagen levels. Our Beauty Nu Skin Formula not only replenishes your collagen supply but also nourishes you with L-Cysteine and Copper leading to healthier skin with improved elasticity and radiance. Our unique formula targets skin cells to increase antioxidants, maintain enough collagen, moisture, and to restore a soft, shiny look to your skin.

Main Ingredients and Functions

Collagen Type 1  – This collagen is produced by the COL1A1 gene in the human body, called the pro-alpha1(I) – polypeptide chains. The long chains of this fibrous molecule contain about one thousand amino-acid residues. It becomes a long, thin fibril that cross-links to one another in the spaces around cells. The cross-links result in the formation of very strong mature type I collagen fibers.  This collagenous function helps keep the skin tight and elastic. There are 19 amino acids (proteins) found in Collagen Type 1. Each is essential to the functions and maintenance of our skin, muscles, and bones.

Over 90 percent of collagen in the body is comprised of Type 1 & 3 Collagen. Proteins in these types of collagen include glycineprolinealanine, and hydroxyproline.

  • Glycine – The amino acid found at the highest levels in collagen, requires more serine than our bodies can naturally produce. Studies suggest the need for glycine supplementation to achieve ideal metabolic processes.
  • Proline – A non-essential amino acid synthesized from glycine and important in the function of joints and tendons.
  • Hydroxyproline – Amino acid that plays an essential role in the stability of collagen.
  • Alanine – Amino acid used in the biosynthesis of proteins.

Other Benefits of Collagen

  • Minimizes fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improves elasticity
  • Supports the bone matrix (36% of bone is made up of collagen Type 1 and 3)
  • Corrects weak or damaged nail beds
  • Thickens fine hair; slows hair loss
  • Improve circulation
  • Promote glycine production which builds leans muscle and helps burn fat during sleep

Collagen is an important protein that can be found throughout your body. In fact, it is found in all the connective tissues in your body ranging from your skin and bones, all the way down to your organs and blood vessels.

Hyaluronic Acid  – This is a carbohydrate, more specifically a mucopolysaccharide occurring naturally throughout the body, the production of which normally declines as the body ages. The function of hyaluronic acid in the body is, amongst other things, to bind water and to lubricate movable parts in the body such as joints and muscles. It also helps keep the skin pliable, firm and moist from within. Hyaluronic Acid is an essential component of the skin because of its ability to promote collagen, Collagen firms the skin while hyaluronic acid nourishes and hydrates the collagen. There is good reason to believe the at orally administered hyaluronic acid is absorbed in the digestive tract and that it does migrate to the relevant connective tissues. As hyaluronic acid itself, when applied topically, is too large a molecule(3000nm) to pass through the skin where intracellular space is only 15-50nm, and can not be absorbed by or penetrate the skin.

Vitamin C  – Functions in the cross-linking of collagen, which increases its tensile strength. This strengthens important tissues, including your bones and skin. Collagen also helps skin retain its elasticity, keeping younger for longer. It affects cells on the inside and outside of the body. Vitamin C is a necessary substance for collagen production in the body. Without it, the body simply cannot produce it. It is needed for collagen storage and synthesis. Collagen forms the fibers that “hold together” the body. Likewise, vitamin C is responsible for “holding together” cells during collagen creation. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition examined links between nutrient intakes and skin aging in 4,025 women aged 40 to 74. It found that higher vitamin C intakes were associated with a lower likelihood of a wrinkled appearance, dryness of the skin and better skin-aging appearance.

“Vitamin C helps protect cells and keep them healthy,” says Marie Murphy, a nutrition scientist at the British Nutrition Foundation. “It is also involved in the production of collagen, which maintains healthy connective tissues, important for the support and structure of tissues and organs including the skin, bones and blood vessels.”

Vitamin C is one of many antioxidants that may protect against damage caused by harmful molecules called free radicals, as well as toxic chemicals and pollutants like cigarette smoke. Research suggests that free radicals can build up and contribute to the development of health conditions such as cancer, heart disease, and arthritis.

Unlike most animals, humans are unable to produce vitamin C in the body. Therefore, we must get our daily dose of vitamin C from our diet or supplements.

Vitamin A  – This vitamin has many beneficial effects on skin health. Vitamin A thickens and stimulates the dermis, reducing wrinkles and increasing blood flow to the surface of the skin. Collagen normally breaks down after women hit the age of 25, but vitamin A increases the deposition of collagen, slowing the deposition process. Vitamin A also reduces the symptoms of rosacea, while giving the skin a smooth and even tone. An increase in the skin’s smoothness can be attributed to an improvement in skin cell hydration. Additionally, vitamin A increases the rate of wound healing while protecting the skin from pre-cancerous lesions.

Vitamin E  – In terms of beneficial supplements for the skin, vitamin E is one of the most commonly used ingredients. Sometimes, it gets overlooked by newer trends in the industry, but vitamin E holds its own for skin health. It is a strong nutrient for the skin, treating wrinkles by boosting collagen production. This is extremely beneficial for any woman over 25 years old. Taking vitamin E also increases skin cell growth, which also works to get rid of wrinkles. Vitamin E also blocks free radicals from the body, which prevents the skin from aging. When choosing a skin supplement, make sure you find one that includes vitamin E!

Zinc  – Zinc is a fantastic mineral for your skin, especially in terms of healing and acting as an anti-inflammatory agent. When you have a wound, zinc works to protect the body against infection. Even with healthy skin, zinc helps produce new cells while protecting the cell membranes.

Dealing with acne? Zinc is a great ingredient to protect your skin from those pesky zits. Zinc controls immune function, which controls the body’s inflammatory response. With improved immune function, your pores are less likely to get blocked by oil buildup, which causes zits.

Copper  – Copper makes the list of very important trace elements (or trace metals) that your body needs to survive and thrive. Studies have shown that copper promotes the production of collagen and elastin in our skin. It also acts as an antioxidant and promotes production of  hyaluronic acid.

Studies have also shown that copper-dependent enzymes help firm, smooth, and soften the skin quicker than most other anti-aging skin care products. In addition, copper peptides have been shown to remove damaged collagen and elastin from the skin and scar tissue.

Vitamin B5  – Also known as pantothenic acid, this vitamin has a strong ability to soothe, heal, and moisturize skin. It is a water-binding substance that attracts and retains water, making it one of the most beneficial vitamins for hydrating skin. Vitamin B5 also enhances the repair of the skin barrier while reducing inflammation. This process also protects the skin from irritation.

L-cysteine  – L-cysteine is a vital amino acid that is widely utilised within the body. Its sulphur content helps to covert toxic heavy metal compounds into stable complexes that can be removed from the body. In carrying out its natural functions alongside other amino acids, cysteine offers excellent anti-oxidant effects and can help to boost the immune system. Cysteine is required for the formation of many structural proteins of the connective tissues. Simultaneously, L-cysteine can increases collagen synthesis and help skin to maintain a healthy appearance. L‐Cysteine has an antioxidative effect. It stimulates the activity of glutathione peroxidase enzymes, which protect the skin from reactive oxygen species (ROS). It also represses the activity of tyrosinase enzymes, which come from ROS and are involved in the production of melanin. L‐Cysteine is an amino acid that works with vitamin C in preventing the skin’s production of melanin pigments. Since it has very high skin-whitening abilities, it is used in various anti-spot medicines and nutrition tablets. L-cysteine and vitamin C can play a complementary role. Vitamin C can maintain the stability of cysteine, and cysteine can improve the efficiency of vitamin C.
