Up for sale here we have a Lot of 10 Military Patches.  We have over 30 lots of mixed patches up for auction right now.  All of these patches came from the estate of Lieutenant Colonel Robert V. Atkinson.  Mr. Atkinson served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  During the Vietnam War he was stationed in Ban Me Thuot of which at the time he was the Major Commander of the 155th Assault Helicopter Company.  We can't tell you too much more about him unfortunately, but you can find some information about him and Ban Me Thuot when you search the internet.  From the items we found at his estate we could also see that other people in his family and his wife's family had served previous to him in World War I and World War II.  We believe that some of these patches, a few anyways could be from that time.  Some of these patches are made of different materials and from different eras.  Mr. Atkinson retired from the Air Force in the 70s from what we can tell, so the patches are at least that old.  All the patches are in different condition.  Some of the patches have a piece of tape on the back identifying the patch.  Some look to be embroidered, stitched, etc..  Some of the patches that are duplicates are made in different eras with different stitching.  This was a large patch collection that he must have put together over many years.  It looks like he traded with other soldiers from other countries, bases, etc..  Please double click each photo for a better view.  You will need to decide the age of the patches from the photos.  We know very little about the collecting of military patches.  So, what you see is what you will get.  There is no rhyme or reason to any of the lots we have up for sale.  Some have Airborne patches, Command Patches, etc..  We just grabbed 10 patches from the collection and photographed the front and back of all of them.  We will not sell the patches separately.  They are being auctioned off by the lot of 10.  Please view all photos for a better view at contents and condition. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.  The patches will be shipped in a padded envelope.  We are happy to combine shipping if you purchase multiple lots!!
