Walter Fusi was born in Udine on August 3, 1924 and at
the age of four he moved with his family to Colle Val d'Elsa, the place of
origin of his parents. There he attended the teaching institute then, inclined
to painting from a very young age, he enrolled at the Siena Art Institute where
he had his first artistic training; In 1943 he graduated and the following
year, despite the difficulties caused by the war, began his studies at the
Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. Fusi assures that he never looked at
tradition so as not to be influenced by it and run the risk of copying it, but
at one point in his life he stopped, looked back at his past and once again
knew how to renew himself by developing a language. original artistic; The
Carmina Burana family confirm the unity of his work, of his painting, which he
recognizes, as he himself says: "because there is something, a feature
that unites painting with painting, like a series of railroad cars: one pink,
another green, one yellow. One different from the other, but they all travel
together ... Today his work is presented in the facilities of the Open Art
Gallery in Prato, with which he came into contact in 2001, exhibiting both in
group exhibitions and in two exhibitions individual: the first in 2004, with
the presentation in the catalog of Tommaso Trini and the other in 2007. For ten
years he has moved again to Colle di Val d'Elsa, the place where his artistic
career and where he dedicated every day to the only true passion of his life:
painting. He disappeared in his Colle, after a brief illness, on May 15, 2013
at the age of 88.
Walter Fusi nació en Udine el 3 de agosto de 1924 y a

instalaciones de la Open Art Gallery de Prato, con la que entró en contacto en
2001 exponiendo tanto en exposiciones colectivas como en dos exposiciones
individuales: la primera en 2004, con la presentación en el catálogo de Tommaso
Trini y la otra en 2007. Desde hace diez años se traslada de nuevo a Colle di
Val d'Elsa, el lugar donde su carrera artística y donde cada día se dedicó a la
única verdadera pasión de su vida: la pintura. Desaparece en su Colle, tras una
breve enfermedad, el 15 de mayo de 2013 a la edad de 88 años
