While most roads had one major backshop, the prototypes for the Walthers Cornerstone HO Scale Machine Shop allowed railroads to make repairs at outlying terminals since it was often faster, more cost-effective and got the locomotives back on the road and earning their keep. As new engine terminals were built, most received a machine shop capable of handling just about any type of repair that might be needed.

This kit matches the design of the Modern Roundhouse (933-2900, sold separately), and can be built as an attached or freestanding building. It also includes a boiler house, which would supply steam, electricity and compressed air to the entire facility. Large roll-up doors can be built open or closed, and the baseplate of the Machine Shop kit has slots that accept popular rail sizes. The Machine Shop is one of a wide variety of Cornerstone HO Scale railroad buildings.

RAILROAD360 allows multiple items to be combined into a single order for up to seven days to receive discounted shipping. Please purchase items and let us know when you are done shopping so we can send you one combined invoice. We can only combine shipping cost on items before they are paid for.
99% of our orders are shipped within 48 hrs of receiving your payment (Monday - Friday).
Any special shipping instructions need to be included in Paypal's Note area when making your payment. We get hundreds of Emails a day and it's hard to match all Emails to Payments.
Any re-shipping charges due to no one home to accept shipment or incorrect address will be re-shipped at the buyer's expense.

Ground shipping takes 1-7 working days depending on your location (please note delays can happen by the shipping company which is out of our control - weather, missing a connection, etc.)

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
USPS Priority Mail takes 1-2 Weeks.
USPS First Class Mail takes 3-6 Weeks.
In some cases it has taken up to 8 weeks to deliver. Please do not use First Class Mail if you cannot wait that long.
Sorry, we have no control on items after they leave the USA (tracking, delays due to customs or any additional tax/charges applied by your country).

Payment in full is expected within 5 days of the closing of the auction. California buyers please add 9.50% sales tax. PayPal is our preferred method of payments. No returns on Auction Items. In the event that you would like to return your purchase of Buy-It-Now items, we allow returns that are processed within the defined return date (the return date is to be found in the return policy or shipping and handling section.)

Please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and the return shipping address. We advise you to use a reputable carrier service when returning your goods and pack all returns appropriately. Buyers returning such items will be refunded ONLY for the item's cost less 20% restocking fee and not for the shipping.
