Painting Portrait of a Hooded Woman With A Pensive Stare Pastel on Paper 17/21.

Appears to be a pastel on paper. No title or signature. The paper is very delicate and will tear very easily, needs to be handled with extreme care. Just grabbing by the finger tips may cause a tear, base to palm the paper. There is edge damage and existing tears: Left edge 3 areas with some paper missing going 3/4 deep, two  tears 1", 1.25" going in laterally, one diagonal tear 2 inches going 1.25 deep and the looping back a 1/2". Bottom edge 1/2" tear. Right edge paper missing 5" long deepest 3/4", above 5.5" weakness crease deepest 1/2", above 1.25 weakness crease with 1/2 tear, in the edge center area 1/2" and 1.5" tear with crease joining them in a loop affect. Small amount of paper missing top right corner. There are marks and smudge on the front. Some damage to the pastel on the woman's right cheek. Found in shed of an artist, this was the only one of several that had not been badly torn. The artist had been painting for years and had at one time been a priest. More above.
