Following the closure of our brick-and-mortar gallery/store, we are selling everything that's not tied down to help pay off our remaining debts! We've also received some donations to sell from our kind supporters, including a couple of old stamp and coin collections — so you never know what you might find!

Since we need to SELL things we are pricing low and offers are considered! Check our other listings, "Follow" us, and check back regularly for new listings!

UP FOR Your Consideration:

Item Description: A really OLD stamp from 1855 from SWITZERLAND; 10 Rappen with an almost colorless thread; paper is very thin, this is most likely Scott #16, as far as I can tell; I don't know a lot of about Swiss stamps. The color in the first scan is true, the last image was with my camera and has too much light, but is much bigger to reveal more detail than our old scanner.

Condition: This is a USED stamp with a blue lozenge-shaped grid cancel. There are a couple of vague thin spots, but still looks presentable for a 160 year old item.

Source: Donated by a friend of the gallery to help our "cause."

Additional information: According to the Scott catalog (2011) I used, this stamp has a value of US $95.00 as cheapest of the thin paper types.

We ARE trying to raise money to pay our debts, but if you don't like the price, you're welcome to make an offer!

Thank you for your interest!
