Gaston Piprot ( La Ferté-Saint-Cyr ,- Ponts-de-Cé ,) is a photographer, industrialist, French publisher of illustrated postcards , creator of the MARQUE "ETOILE", the star brand.
In 1893, he participated in the Chicago International Exhibition with models of boxes intended for perfumers, confectioners and chocolate makers. The year 1895 the competition for manual work and encouragement of the vocational school of the paper trade union chamber concerning the manufactured work part is held on Sunday on the premises of his company.
In 1898, following a trial with its sponsor it files for bankruptcy ending his career in the carton
Remaining in the field of the transformation of the paper which is familiar to him, a first general partnership, of industrial photographic prints Piprot and Jardin is created the first Installed 8 rue de la Pépinière, it was dissolved in April . He then created a new company, anonymous this time, of "G.Piprot photographic establishments" whose registered office is at the same address 8 rue de la Pépinière and then sold to Duval et Cie . He is also the concessionary publisher of H. Boutet, LMParis and GPParis. He then moved to 2 Rue d'Amsterdam next door and also opened a factory for photographic prints and productions intended for photography in Rueil, taken over in 1910 by the Bauchet company.
In 1903 Gaston Piprot was president of the Chambre Syndicale de la carte postale illustrée and created the first exhibition for the illustrated postcard be held in 1904.
In 1905, a sale of shares in the company L'Atelier d'art photographique which he operates at the same address on rue d'Amsterdam brought in his cousin and brother-in-law René Piprot as a partner.
In 1909 he exhibited at the 1st International Exhibition of aerial locomotion to great palace.
