You are looking at a model railroad background building PHOTO flat. It is a photograph glued to ¼ inch thick black foamcore board. It is ready to be placed on your layout When placed at the back wall of your layout it creates incredible depth in your scene. The buildings are 2D PHOTO flats glued to foam core board. This is not a plastic building They are ¼ inch thick and can be layered to create the illusion of depth. Each building is a photo of a real building in the real world giving real life weathering and detail. Each building has been re-sized to scale and photo - shoped to remove as much modern items as possible so they can be used on almost any era layout. If you already have a backdrop or painted wall just add buildings to what you have to customize it.

This is the back of a building on main st. in downtown Akron, Ohio. It is a
four story brick building the windows on the first floor are boarded up
some other windows are broken or open on top of the building it says in
faded white letters mayflower apartments.

The original pictures of my buildings have been taken on different days under different light at different times of the day with different cameras. This can effect the lighting and contrast of different buildings we do our best to even them out but you may see some differences between buildings. This auction only includes the building as described above it does not include people cars trains or scenery

What are trackside flats?
Other backdrops require you to design your layout to fit what is on the backdrop. If you have already built your layout it can be hard to find a backdrop that will fit with what you have.
The Trackside flats Modular backdrop system allows you to design the backdrop to fit your already existing scene. You decide what buildings to use and where to put them. If you change your mind you can move them or replace them with another building.
Start with our cloud and sky backdrop. Then choose the individual buildings you would like to have on your layout. The buildings are 2D photo flats glued to foam core board. They are ¼ inch thick and can be layered to create the illusion of depth. Each building is a photo of a real building in the real world giving real life weathering and detail. Each building has been re-sized to scale and photoshoped to remove as much modern items as possible so they can be used on almost any era layout. If you already have a backdrop or painted wall just add buildings to what you have to customize it.
The best effect can be achieved by layering a smaller scale building behind a larger one ( N scale behind HO) with a small spacer between them this gives a forced perspective and when viewed from an angle you can see behind the front building. You can alternate each row of buildings with building fronts and building backs. The first row by the tracks being building backs, the next row building fronts so it looks like you are seeing the fronts of buildings on the next block. Trackside flats look best when placed behind a row of 3D models. Add incredible depth to your layout in less than an inch of space. Trackside flats available in HO, N and O scale.

Is this a plastic model
they are 2D photo flats glued to foam core board. They are ¼ inch thick. They are not plastic models.
What is the difference between Photo Flats and Low relief buildings
Low relief buildings have 3 dimensional details to them a flat is perfectly flat and all the detail is in the photo. Tracksideflats are photo flats
Is this a complete building
This is not a complete building only one side ? the side you see in the pictures
How are they mounted
They are glued to Black foam core board. The edges of the foam core are black and virtually disappear when placed on your layout
Do you sell this building with out foam core
