Z axis stepper motor adapter for connecting 2 stepper motors in series for 3d printer

I am the only uk seller of this item i will ship around the world via the global shipping program. (Please feel free to search ebay for this item). i realise that the global shipping program costs are sometimes too expensive so if you want me ti ship it direct to you please tell me which country you are in and i will see if i can get a better price.

this listing is for a hand soldered complete pcb unit i can also sell the pcb on its own if you wish to purchase this please send me a message i haven't got a listing for it yet but i will create one if people want them.

Offers accepted. i can give you a better price if you want more than 1 i can also offer the pcb's on their own, see my other listings.

Connecting the steppers in SERIES provides the full driver current for each motor and ensuring maximum torque at low z-axis speeds.
You may need to increase the voltage of your stepper driver if the motors are not performing as they should while using this adapter/splitter.

If you Connected them in PARALLEL it halves the driver current to each motor, so it isn't going to give you the power that you need. this adapter is a series adapter NOT a parallel adapter.

Designed so you can run 2 stepper motors from 1 motor port on a controller board for example my MKS board only has 1 port while could use the second extruder port I prefer to keep that for a second extruder. This is a simple more reliable solution (in my opinion) compared to making a splitter Y cable which for me ended up in disaster and faulty wiring.

You can use dupont connectors or the original style of connector with this both will work you will need a small patch lead to connect it to your controller board. i did consider having this made to just plug directly into your controller board however being that there are so many different controller boards out there and the wiring is not the same for every one i feel this is the best solution for an all round solution.

Please note when connecting this to your z motor port on your controller board you may have to change the wiring around to get it to work correctly as an example I have a MKS Gen L V1.0 board and I used a JST patch lead. I had to put the wires flat in a strip then 1 end would have the contacts on the connector facing up and the other end would have them facing down. This is easy to do swapping wires you just need to take the pins out and reposition them.

Also im no expert in electronics i cannot help you with wiring for your particular printer you will need to look that up yourself, however after checking you have everything correct if there is a fault please contact  me. i test each one before shipping for operation to try and avoid sending any faulty ones out, no one wants a faulty item now do they. hopefully this information ive provided helps you decide on a purchase i try to be as helpful as i can.
