b. Sabrina Salerno, 15 March 1968, Genoa, Italy. This late 80s disco pop diva briefly challenged the former UK "page three model"-turned-pop singer Samantha Fox as Europe's favourite pop sex symbol. After appearing on a number of television shows in her native Italy, Sabrina launched her singing career with the European hit "Sexy Girl". Her major chart hit was in the summer of 1988 with "Boys (Summertime Love)", which was a big hit throughout Europe and reached UK number 3. The lightweight appeal of the song was far out-weighted by the attendant video, which featured the curvaceous singer struggling to stay in her swimming costume. Although the follow-up "All Of Me" (produced by Stock, Aitken And Waterman) reached the UK Top 25, Sabrina's obvious visual attraction was not enough to sustain a successful chart career in the UK. She remained popular in Europe and South America, however, balancing her recording career with film and television work.
During her career, she has sold over 20 million records worldwide and scored 10 international hits, including 3 number ones. Internationally, she is best known for her 1987 single "Boys (Summertime Love)", which topped the charts in France and Switzerland, and peaked at No. 3 in the UK. The song was accompanied by a provocative music video, which established Sabrina's image as a sex symbol. Her other popular recordings include "All of Me (Boy Oh Boy)", "My Chico", "Like a Yo-Yo", "Gringo".
Album for sale was produced by England based Tring International PLC. It contains 10 of Sabrina's greatest hits. Tring International has since folded and this album is "OOP and RARE".
