This auction is for two (2) Genuine Used Retired BOURBON WHISKEY BARREL HEAD/TOP/LID. Each head is in its original condition and has its own unique markings and character from the aging associated with being used as a whiskey barrel. Barrel heads are made from white oak. On the back of the head you may see evidence of charring from the whiskey making process. These heads may still smell like bourbon when you receive them.
*ALL barrel heads will be stamped. No guarantee as to which distillery the head will come from. I will pull them off the top of the stack and ship. Some examples from my rotating include Jim Beam, James Beam, Woodford, Makers Mark, Clermont Springs, Old Man, Four Roses, and Heaven Hill, among others! This inventory is constantly changing!
****Please note that the oak boards that make up the barrel head are held together with tongue and groove or dowel construction. Disassembly of the slats and cleaning of the barrel heads is recommended prior to display. Barrel heads may come apart in shipping - this is normal and expected. If you want to ensure the head stays together during shipping, I do offer a wood backing plate that can be added for an additional $10 for one, $7.50 each for two, or $6 each for three or more. Please request this if needed.
