About the Paper Prints:

Each Limited Edition Fine Art Print is printed on archival presentation-quality, 260 GSM / 10 Mil, photographic paper created using the highest quality inks and archival techniques. Photographs do not do this paper substrate justice as it practically "glows" on the wall.

Our art prints are produced on acid-free papers using archival inks to guarantee that they last a lifetime without fading or loss of color. These prints include a 1" white border around the image to allow for future framing and matting, if desired.

The Story Behind the Print:

A veteran of the Western Front, Josef "Pips" Priller joined the Luftwaffe in 1935. During the Battle of Britain, Priller was to become battle-hardened with at least 14 confirmed victories. In 1943, Priller was stationed in Lille, France with JG26 Schlageter and flew FW-190 Black 13 where he would eventually score 101 combat victories across 1307 combat missions. He became famous as one of a few aircraft brave enough to make strafing runs during D-Day on Sword Beach, June 6, 1944. Priller was noted with the highest Spitfire kill score and was the recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves for extreme battlefield bravery and leadership. Priller survived the war and flew West on May 20, 1961.
