The kit contains the drive chain, engine sprocket, rear sprocket plus other replacement parts (engine sprocket washer, rear sprocket nuts and cotter pin etc). The complete package from Kawasaki contains all the qualified genuine parts required for correct drive chain replacement for each model.
Compared to aftermarket kits, the genuine kits have the advantage of a rubber coated engine sprocket that will make the chain operation much quiter than the aftermarket equivalent.
