This set was released in 1997 by Image Entertainment and contains 5 classic and rare silent films directed by Cecil B. DeMille, which include:

Carmen (Lasky-Paramount, 1915, 56 mins.) starring Geraldine Farrar and Wallace Reid, Pedro De Cordoba

Joan the Woman (Cardinal Film Corporation, 1916. 137 mins.) starring Geraldine Farrar, Wallace Reid, Raymond Hatton, Hobart Bosworth

The Whispering Chorus (Artcraft Pictures Corp., 1917, 81 mins.) starring Raymond Hatton, Kathlyn Williams, Elliott Dexter, Tully Marshall

Male and Female (Paramount-Artcraft, 1919, 115 mins.) starring Gloria Swanson, Thomas Meighan, Raymond Hatton, Lila Lee

The Volga Boatman (DeMille Pictures/PDC, 1926, 120 mins.) starring William Boyd, Elinor Fair, Victor Varconi, Julia Faye

All 5 films are on 5 double-sided laserdiscs, each of which has been color-tinted. Also included is the original 4-page brochure which accompanies this set which discusses DeMille and these films and includes chapter stops for each film on the last page.

This edition was produced in cooperation with the Estate of Cecil B. DeMille with film materials courtesy of the George Eastman House.

Please note this is a 12" laserdisc and NOT a DVD. Laserdiscs will only play in laserdisc players and not in DVD players.
