Large antique copper engraved map representing the Tribe of Simeon, in the Holy Land with the Gaza strip (southwest of Canaan).

 Some Biblical sites are depicted and identified by both name and number.


This is one the 12 maps of Holy Land realised by Christian Van Adrichem (Adrichom) (1583-1585), theologian and surveyor, published in Theatrum Terra Sanctae.


Van Adrichem drawned the maps between 1580 and 1585, and the maps have been published by Gerardis Brunius from Koln in 1590.



Condition : very good condition, in colors.
