Atlantic Mutual Fire and Marine Insurance Company. Scrip issued February 15, 1864 at Provincetown, Massachusetts (Barnstable County). Incorporated in 1855 in the State of Massachusetts. Revenue stamp dated 1864 affixed upper left. Certificate No. 315 ½ was issued to James Emery for $92 in the invested funds of the company payable per annum. Hand signed by company president Johnathan Paine and secretary Enos Nickerson. Certificate is about 6” x 9”. Partially redeemed in 1881 ink stamp on front, and transferred in 1876 on verso. Black print. Small sailing ship vignette.
Condition: Very Fine, light folds, minor creasing, no tears, minor signs of wear/handling/toning (see photos), uncancelled.
