Assembled by the great Ortan Cassius, oldest of all living Ultramarines Chaplain of renown - Kill Team Cassius was first sent to investigate the deeply suspicious events on the mining planet Ghosar Quintus.   Intent to root out and punish those who would challenge the Imperium’s supremacy in the galaxy, this hand-picked coterie of battle-veterans are fiercely loyal, impressively equipped - and zealous in their commitment to cleanse Xenos filth wherever they may find it...

  THIS IS ONE of the preeminent Kill-Team Cassius members - and one of the most unique and deadly Deathwatch Space Marines drawn from the best-of-the-best of the Space Marine Legions:

1. Vael Donatus - Ultramarines Sternguard Veteran: A formidable Ultramarines marksman - and Veteran of well over 100 Battles - Donatus now serves in the Deathwatch. Vael is a Precision Shot with any Bolt-type weapon and the Captains he has served under have remarked "Donatus never misses". He declines to use any armament but his trusted and long-serving Space Marines Boltgun, which he has maintained and fine-tuned for many decades. Vael is equally expert and selecting and using the Specialized Ammunitions he employed in his long service with the Sternguard - and even pre-loads clips with certain combinations of Hellfire, Kraken, Vengeance and Incediary rounds. His affection for using his Bolter in place of virtually any other weapon has even caused him to 'collect-and-ultilize' more rare and esoteric Munitions from the Inquisition, such as Dragonfire loads, Implosion shells, Shredder rounds, Razorweb ammo, Breacher loads and even Witch bolts when he can get them.

2. Zameon Gydrael - Dark Angels Company Champion: Zameon has blessed with a photographic memory, as well as an exceptional natural talent in Armed-Combat. He has always had unusual acumen for melee combat, able to vanquish multiple-opponents and even expert combatants with decades more battle-experience. As such, Gydrael quickly rose to become the Champion of his Dark Angels Company - and slew countless powerful enemies of the Imperium by his prowess with a blade. It was High Interrrogator-Chaplain Asmodai himself who gifted Zameon with an ancient Dark Angels 'Power Broad-sword' locked away deem in the Weapons Vault of 'The Rock'.

  The Ordo Xenos we impressed with Zameon's incredible memory - and further augmented him with advanced Olfactory Receptors as well as intensive memory-training in literally hundreds-of-thousands of scents, spores, and warp essences. As such, the Dark Angel Champion could Track warp-beings and taint across vast distances - identifying the type of infestation by scent alone! With his Massive hand-and-a-half Power-Sword, and his Plasma-pistol - Zameon is a deadly tracker of alien and daemonic threats to the Imperium.

3. Rodricus Grytt - Imperial Fists Devastator: Grytt is stoic and unwavering in his duties, even for a Stone-willed Imperial Fist! He found his calling as a member of the 9th Company's 1st Devastator Squad -excelling in using the Heaviest of Weaponry. Grytt's performance brought him to the attention of his Chapter Master -who appointed him Captain of the entire 9th, but Grytt respectfully decline the honor to join the Deathwatch. When joining the Ordo Xenos, Grytt selected the Heaviest of heavy-weapons: a Deathwatch Frag Cannon - a weapon often carried by Dreadnoughts. Rodricus-and-his-Weapon move and fire as one irresistible unit of destruction - a maelstrom of exploding, armour-destroying metal!

4. Antor Delassio - Flesh Tearer Assault Marine Sergeant: Delassio is a gifted warrior of the Blood Angels Successor Chaper: The Flesh Tearers. Like all of his parent-chapter, Antor is a vicious combatant - and in his frenzied attacks he has already known The Red Thirst.. While he keeps his blood-and-battle lust in check, he is a deadly adversary to any alien foe unfortunate enough to face him. He wields a potent weapon known as Ignasius - a powerful Flamer-pistol presented to him in gratitude by the Ordo Xenos. He greatly relishes using his personal Chainsword, and is highly skilled at Jump-pack assaults.

5. Edryc Setorax - Raven Guard Vanguard Veteran: Bred to Fly - Edryc is preternaturally gifted aerial combatant. Indeed, even among his Chapter - he is an exceptional air-assault veteran, with an almost 'supernatural' ability to strike-from-the-shadows. Few things that fly can outmaneuver Edryc when equipped with a Jump-pack. Like the 'Raven', Edryc is also adept using his pair signature Talon-pattern Lightning Claws, rending and slashing all adversaries as he strikes from above. His custom jump pack is equipped with state-of-the-art smoke launchers keeping him shrouded while airborne from all enemy attacks. Edryc will often hurl Frag or Krag grenades at his targets to maim and debilitate them - seconds before his unseen airborne attack.

6. Jensus Natorian - Blood Ravens Codicer Librarian: Jensus is a potent natural psychic who first manifested his Biomancy powers as a boy when his parents were slain in an attack by Greenskins. He caught the attention of the Inquisition when he tore-apart an Ork-raiding squad with his bare hands. Inquisitor Belicor placed him with the Blood Ravens chapter for transformation into a Space Marine, and oversaw his training personally. Many decades later, Natorian is a powerful Level Two Psyker of the Deathwatch. His Deathwatch armour is further adorned with a Psychic Hood to even further enhance and focus his prodigious powers. He also uses a Force Sword capable of channeling his psychic power into deadly attacks. Jensus also carries grenades and his Deathwatch Bolt-pistol with Specialized ammo.

7. Drenn Redblade - Space Wolves Blood Claw:  Redblade was a profoundly violent Warrior of Fenris before indocrination into the Space Wolves. His ferociousness and aggression only increased thereafter - as his combat skill was unparalleled even among his Company's Veteran Wolf Guard. Drenn could best any of his brethren in combat - but his violence and near-berserk ferocity was too often unchecked. His own Company Captain tried to discipline him after a joint operation with the Ultramarines -but the Space Marine Captain Caius Vorens advised sending him to the Deathwatch.

  Drenn serves the Inquisition now as a Deathwatch Close Combat specialist. He wields two favored personal Close combat blades: the Chainsword Graam, and custom-forged hooked-Combat knife named Fang. For ranged weaponry, Drenn wields Xenobane, an exceptional Boltgun custom-built with advanced alloys to cycle more-demanding Specialize Ammo, and gifted to him by Vorens after their honour duel. In addition, Redblade has been rained in Jump-pack use.

8. Garran Branator - Salamander Terminator: Garran is called "The Walker in Fire" for his great resistance to, and understanding of Fire as a weapon. A native of the hot, volcanic world of Nocturne - Branatar was destined to be a Salamander Space Marine, taking the rite while in his early youth. A Massive Space Marine even for a Salamander, Garran is utterly fearless in the face of any opponents, and stands like an impervious anvil upon which countless foes have broken. He is almost impervious to harm in his thick Crux-Terminatus Armour - and uses deadly plasma from his augmented Heavy Flamer like a true Artisan of Fire. On his huge Master-Crafted Power-Fist the Ordo Xenos has incorporated an alternate weapon to use against heavy armoured units: a Master-crafted Melta-gun. With this impressive array of weaponry, Branatar is more than a match for whole squads of adversaries - or even opposing heavy tanks or monsters!

9. Ennox Sorrlock - Iron Hands Sternguard Veteran: Sorlock is a formidable Iron Hands Space Marine, and a specialist in Ranged Combat. His past battle-injuries have required extensive bionic replacement, of (at least) his left leg, right (fore)-arm, and the entire Right Side of his Skull (in addition to any other unknown body or organ replacements). Sorrlock's bionics incorporate a triple-cybernetic eye-and-sensor-targeting array - direct neural-linked to his bionic hand-and-cybernetically-controlled Combi-Melta. His exceptional logic and combat situation analysis is likely augmented by various computational circuitry integrated into his brain. Sorrlocks robotic body parts serve to make him more durable and resilient against enemy weapons fire and attacks. His own computer-enhanced targeting of his Melta-gun allows him to reliably neutralize heavy enemy armoured units, while his Specialized Ammo is selected with machine-like perfection to eliminate all manner of Xenos infantry with computer-like accuracy and efficiency. 

10. Jerek Suberei - White Scars Biker Sergeant: Jerek is a robust, passionate - and eccentric member of Deathwatch, hailing from the Warrior-bands of the White Scars. He eschews advanced or fancy 'Inquisition Armour or Wargear' -  wearing his own armour and riding his own customized White Scars Bike. He uses the traditional complement of equipment of his chapter of origin: custom Power-saber, Frag and Krak grenades. He likewise has a pet Eagle raised from his homeworld - with cybernetic upgrades to communicate with him on the battlefield. Jetek uses the esoteric Specialized Ammo provided by the Inquisition, only magnifying the devastation he causes to his enemies at a distance. He charges well-ahead of the rest of his Deathwatch brothers, breaking enemy ranks and wreaking havoc with his opponents front lines.

11. Ortan Cassius - Ultramarines Chaplain: A true Zealot, Cassius is near-400-years old - the oldest surviving Ultramarine! He calls Chapter Master Marneus Calgar: 'Young Marneus'. He is himself called "The True Believer" and his Oratory has an unusual power to rally all members of his army to their joined cause against all adversity.

  Cassius formed the Kill-Team named after him - to investigate the infected World of Ghosar Quintus. There, he and his elite force would uncover the First known 'Genestealer Infestation' - and root it out. Ortan wields his personal Bolt Pistol with Specialized Ammunition, as well as his signature Crozium Arcanum. His Rosarius emits a powerful conversion-field rendering him invulnerable to most attacks, and he equips Krag and Frag grenades as well, which he can use as Assault grenades due to his skill and experience.
