For sale is a Pulser Coil that fits Yamaha G1 & G3 2-stroke gas golf cars.  The wire colors match the harness colors, and plugs in with absolutely no cutting or splicing.  This is a custom wound pulser coil to replace the obsolete Yamaha part number J10-85580-20-00 found on G1 & G3 models.  Basic instructions are included in package.

Testing your pulser coil is fairly straightforward.  First find the magneto wire bullet connectors underneath & in front of the air filter.  Unplug the green & red wires.  Connect the leads of your multimeter to these wires that lead into the engine.  Polarity doesn't matter for this test.  Set your multimeter to resistance (Ω).  You should see about 15 Ω at room temperature.  Readings between 12Ω and 20Ω are generally fine.  Now set your multimeter to A/C Voltage and crank the engine.  You should see about 4 to 8 volts at a steady cranking speed.  If your readings aren't similar to these, you may have a bad pulser coil or faulty wiring.
