Biography:
He has exhibited in Victorian regional areas and his works are represented in provincial and overseas collections
John Waterhouse was born in New Zealand in 1933 and arrived in Australia in 1949. He is a self-taught, semi-abstract painter.
While on the staff at Monash University (1962-1969) amongst other responsibilities, he was Curator of the University Art Collection.
From then until 1990 he was Curator of Art Works at La Trobe University and responsible for the university Collection.
Since 1990 John has been a full-time painter.
He is represented in a number of provincial and overseas collections and a wide variety of universities throughout Australia
as well as a number of galleries.
