Before installing your new bearings, 

clean both cup and cone thoroughly.

 If your cone is too tight the bearings 

may be damaged irrevocably


If the cone is too loose, the cup, cone, and or 

bearings will be irrevocably damaged.

 If unsure, please consult a qualified cycle tech

( thats a bike mechanic for older readers ;-)

To aid bearing longevity, do not direct a jet of water, 

or grease cut detergent,towards bearings 

( BBs wheel hubs headset etc )

water penetration can lead to premature 

bearing failure.
