This modified 2020 United States Mint Birth Set is an ideal gift for the arrival of a baby in 2020 or to obtain 1¢ 5¢ 10¢ 25¢ proof 2020 coins. It includes the 4 proof coins listed below, and we have replaced the Kennedy Half with a "P" Mint coin from the Philadelphia Mint. The other coins bear the “S” mint mark of the San Francisco Mint including random 2020 issued ATB Proof Quarter:
- Kennedy half dollar (Replaced with P Mint to help lower the price)
- Random S Proof Quarter TallGrass or Salt River or Marsh Billings or Weir Farm or American Samoa from the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program
- Roosevelt dime
- Jefferson nickel
- Lincoln penny
The presentation folder includes space to provide your personalized message and a place for the baby’s vital statistics—the date and time of birth, length, and weight. There is also a photo frame area to hold a 3” x 5” photo (not included). A Certificate of Authenticity is located on the back of the folder, and coin specifications are printed on the sleeve.
This is the ninth year the Birth Set has been issued by the United States Mint.
The 4 United States Mint proof coins feature sharp relief and a mirror-like background. Their frosted, sculpted foregrounds give them a special cameo effect. Proof blanks are specially treated, polished, and cleaned to ensure high-quality strikes. The blanks are then fed into presses fitted with specially polished dies and struck at least twice to ensure sharp relief.
