The Congo Democratic Republic 1,000 Francs was issued by the Central Bank of Congo 2013 with a pick number P-101b. Featured on the obverse of the banknote is a Kanioka carved box depicting two seated humans and two lizards on the boxs lid. Two standing okapis are also visible. The reverse of the banknote displays an African gray parrot perched on a tree branch and a field of corn. The 140 x 72mm paper bill comes with a windowed security thread with a demetalized RD Congo. It also has an Okapis head and an electrotype 1000 watermarks. Additionally, the banknote has a registration device in the form of the map of the Congo Democratic Republic with RDC on the obverse and the map with BCC on the back.
