This stand is mounted directly to the rear of the monitor and uses the bottom of the monitor as the front stand.

It is like a table picture frame where the picture frame acts as the front stand and the rear folding part act as the back stand.

Remember, the front bottom of the monitor will rest on the table and the rear mount folds out to support.
