SystemRescue is a Linux destribution for x86 64 and x86 computers. The primary purpose of SystemRescue is to repair unbootable or otherwise damaged computer systems after a system crash. It aims to provide an easy way to carry out admin tasks on your
computer, such as creating and editing the hard disk partitions. SystemRescue is not intended to be used as a permanent operating system. It runs from a USB flash drive or any type of hard drive.
It comes with many Linux software such as system tools
(parted, partimage, fstools, etc.) and basic tools (editors, Midnight
Commander, network tools, etc.).
SystemRescue requires no
installation. It can be used on Linux servers, or Linux desktops.The kernel supports the important file systems
(ext2/ext3/ext4, ReiserFS, Reiser4, Btrfs, XFS, JFS, VFAT, NTFS,
iso9660), as well as network file systems (Samba and NFS).

SystemRescue is capable of graphics using the Linux framebuffer option for tools such as Gparted. It has options such as connecting to the Internet through an ADSL modem or Ethernet and graphical web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox.
