Vintage Dash Mount Vacuum Gauge SW International Harvester Ford Chevy Chrysler 3 1/4 inch.

I not sure where this gauge belongs, but I'm told it is probably 1960’s  an IHC  truck. Thanks to that ebayer.

It is a mechanical gauge. It is of Stewart Warner manufacture, marked  in ink on the bottom flat, in a circle “SW 267”, so probably made for one of the 4 US Automotive companies and SW is not on the face.

There is also another inked number 855 1212 not completely legible.

There are provisions on the back for 2 dash lights, one for illumination of the gauge, one for a red warning light , or perhaps it is a high beam jewel. There is an angle brass fitting for the vacuum gauge.

It would fit inside a  3 3/8’ or 3 ¼” hole in the dash.

Measures 3 ¼” diameter inside measure, 3 ½” outside including the chrome bezel, 1 ½” deep, 2 5/8” including lamp and vacuum fixtures.

I tested it and it works, needle moves  and holds a vacuum.

 

Pretty unique gauge and starting bid below what a new made gauges are selling at.
