George V was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 6 May 1910 until his death in 1936.

Edwards & Brown, Longton (1880-1932) were estimated bone china manufacturers at the Victoria Works, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England. The business was established in 1880 using the trade name 'Duchess China'. The firm traded successfully for over fifty years and sadly the economic circumstances prevailing between the two World Wars meant the business dissolved in December 1932 the partners were Mr Henry Weston Edwards and John William Edwards. Other unrelated companies also used the name 'Duchess China' - A.T. Finney and Duchess China Company being one such firm.

Marks used on ware for identification were:

E & B L impressed or printed marks from 1880-1910. “L” standing for Longton, the town where the factory was located.

“Duchess China” E & B L mark was used up to 1910.

“Duchess China” E & B L, Made in England was used from 1910 to 1933

Edwards and Brown bone china is highly collectible and sought after and there are not many of this particular design in existence. In fact as far as I can establish these are the only such pieces advertised on the whole of the eBay worldwide!
