UT - 1 - Soviet training aircraft, created in the Yakovlev Design Bureau in 1935 to train highly qualified pilots. The prototype was flown by Yu.I. Piontkovsky at the beginning of 1936. Serially built since 1937.
A monoplane with a low wing, mixed design, with an indestructible landing gear. The power plant is an M-11 radial motor.
A total of 1241 aircraft were built, excluding the factory experimental series of 10-15 aircraft. The UT-1 has remained in history as an excellent sports and aerobatic aircraft.
