These Beeswax Pastilles are 100% natural and are refined through physical processes – nothing chemical. The color may vary from white to off-white with a mild, honey aroma. These are used in formulations where the end product is white in color. Color and fragrance can later be added. Beeswax Pastilles are great in lotions, creams, balms, body butter and even soaps. It provides body and stiffness to formulations and acts as an emulsifier.

ORGANIC GOLDEN AKOSOY WAX 415 FLAKES 

CANDLES PASTILLES, PURE

Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated.

Our Soy Wax Flakes for candle making. These soy wax flakes are specially formulated with partially hydrogenated soybean oil and soy based emulsifier (monoglycerides) for container candle use. The emulsifiers allow the soy to be poured at hotter temperatures, while reducing frosting and increasing fragrance oil load. It has a higher melting point (119-125 degrees Fahrenheit) which enables the soy to retain a higher fragrance oil load to give a stronger scent throw. Additives such as coloring, fragrance oils or essential oils can be added to this material to create a unique finished product.

Soy wax candles burn cooler, which produces a longer burn time. This is both better for the environment and creates a longer burn time to enjoy your candle. Soy wax cleans up easily with soap and water. Soy wax is 100% biodegradable.

ORGANIC CARNAUBA WAX - T1 FLAKES PASTILLES, PURE

Carnauba Wax – T1, a vegetable wax harvested from the leaves of the Brazilian palm tree, Copernicia cerifera. Carnauba wax is produced and sold in different grades, with T1 being the highest quality and purity available. The T1 grade of carnauba wax is lighter in color compared to other grades in the industry. It is a brittle yellowish brown solid flakes with light characteristic aroma wax known as the hardest natural wax. It has a high melting point. 

Organic Carnauba Wax comes in the form of hard yellow flakes and is widely used in cosmetics as an emulsifier or as a thickening agent for lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, foundation, deodorant, and sun care preparations. Carnauba Wax is the hardest natural wax and has lustrous composition making it the leading choice for ointments, pharmaceuticals (tablet coatings), candles and polishes. Carnauba wax is often combined with other waxes to create industrial polishes and finishes.

Carnauba Wax is compatible with most animal, vegetable and mineral waxes and a large variety of natural and synthetic resins. A temperature of 172 degrees Fahrenheit (78 degrees Celsius) is required to melt Carnauba wax.

ORGANIC CASTOR WAX FLAKES PASTILLES, PURE

Hydrogenated castor oil or HCO, is also known as castor wax. The reason why it is called a wax is that the oil turns into hard, brittle and insoluble material that surprisingly has a lot of benefits in the manufacture of different kinds of products.

The castor wax has a melting point of 61 – 69 degrees Centigrade, which is moderately less than the boiling point. Heating the oil beyond these temperatures can cause the castor wax to melt and become liquid again. Once the temperature cools, it will re-harden.

This type of castor oil is most commonly used in cosmetics. It is considered to be an organic ingredient, since the hydrogenation process makes use of natural hydrogen gas that is mixed with naturally occurring castor beans. Castor wax are safe to use on the skin. Hydrogenated oils are commonly used in cosmetics because of their ability to help form emulsions by reducing surface tension of the substances that are to be emulsified. They also help other ingredients dissolve in solvents where they would otherwise not normally dissolve. In the cosmetic world, hydrogenated oils have their role in the production of acne products, deodorant sticks, anti-dandruff shampoos and other types of skin care products.

EMULSIFYING WAX NF Cetearyl Alcohol and Polysorbate 60, PURE 

Polawax is a preparation of higher fatty alcohols that produce thick emulsions without the addition of stiffening waxes. Emulsifying Wax NF consists of Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Polysorbate 60. Creamy white solid beads with little to no odor.

Polawax is an effective emulsifier suited for the preparation of cosmetic oil / water emulsions. It can also be used to increase the thickness of formulations, eliminating the need for use of additional ingredients. It works well as a sole emulsifier, thickener and stabilizer in an emulsion. Examples include creams, lotions, body butters, conditioners, face cleansers and baby products. Polawax is compatible with anionic, cationic and non-ionic systems. The emulsions show excellent stability in both acid and base media. Emulsions are stable with a pH as low as 3 or as high as 13. It does not deteriorate on heating, experiencing only a slight alteration in color at temperatures up to 150-152°C for two hours.

ORGANIC JOJOBA WHITE BEANS WAX, PURE

Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil

Jojoba Beads also referred to as hydrogenated jojoba oil, are natural exfoliants used throughout the personal-case and handcrafted soap industry. Jojoba beads are often preferred by manufacturers because they are 100% biodegradable and more environmentally friendly than plastic exfoliants. Additionally, consumers with any type of nut allergy or concern will prefer this natural, gentle exfoliating ingredient compared to bars of soap made with nut shavings or shells. White jojoba beads of 20-40 mesh particle size are vastly used through the production of cosmetic scrubs to remove excess dry cells and promote rejuvenated skin.

PALM KERNEL OIL FLAKES, PURE

Palm Kernel Flakes is solid, white flakes used in hot and cold process soap making to harden soap and to increase lather. They are used just as you would use Palm Kernel Oil. In recipes, it will quicken the trace.

Palm Kernel Flakes are obtained from the single kernel or seed of the fruit of the Palm oil tree. This tree bears a fruit that has an oily pulp and from this oily pulp Palm Oil is extracted. It makes a very hard, white bar of soap that lathers in almost any water. It is very similar to coconut oil. Palm Kernel flakes are a base oil that almost all soapers use in some percentage. Palm kernel flakes are used exactly the same as palm kernel oil in your recipes, but more convenient to handle. Not to be confused with Palm Oil. Palm Kernel is not the same.

ORGANIC RICE BRAN WAX BEADS FLAKES, PURE

 

Rice Bran Wax is a vegetable wax extracted from rice bran when extract Rice Bran Oil. It is a treasure biologic wax resource in East Asia where rice is the main food. Consists of high molecular weight monoesters. Rice bran wax has been historically used in a wide variety of cosmetics; replacing carnauba wax in some applications. Rice wax has no odor. The color of our rice bran wax is naturally rendered through batch chromatography technology and is not solvent extracted.  This method of refinement retains low concentrations of policosanols, phospholipids, phytosterols, and squalene. The main components of rice bran wax are aliphatic acid (wax acid) and higher alcohol ester.

ORGANIC CANDELILLA WAX FLAKES PASTILLES 100% PURE

 

Candelilla Wax is an all-natural vegetable wax found on leaves of the wild Candelilla plant growing in semi-arid desert regions around the world. This 100% natural wax varies in color from light brown to pale yellow. It is a hard brittle with a distinctive odor.

Candelilla Wax has many uses; it serves as a great vegan substitute for beeswax. Also, this wax is used in a multitude of products ranging from cosmetics in lipsticks, balms and ointments, to polishes for furniture, leather and automobiles, in precision and electroplating casting, as well as in finishes for leather and textiles.

Slightly harder than beeswax, but softer than Carnauba wax, Candelilla wax makes for the perfect vegan substitute. Candelilla wax doesn't reach optimum hardness for several day after cooling.

Very often, this wax is used together with other waxes to harden them without increasing melting point. Stearic Acid is an organic, fatty acid that is found in vegetable fats and oils. It works harmoniously with other fatty acids to nourish the skin and offer versatility in texture. Stearic Acid can also be used in the production of candles, cosmetics, shaving soaps, lubricants, and pharmaceuticals. When added to soap, this ingredient will produce a bar that is harder and that has a more stable lather.

Stearic acid is mainly used in the production of detergents, soaps, and cosmetics such as shampoos and shaving cream products. Soaps are not made directly from stearic acid, but indirectly by saponification of triglycerides consisting of stearic acid esters. Esters of stearic acid with ethylene glycol; glycol stearate and glycol distearate, are used to produce a pearly effect in shampoos, soaps, and other cosmetic products. They are added to the product in molten form and allowed to crystallize under controlled conditions. Detergents are obtained from amides and quaternary alkylammonium derivatives of stearic acid.

Japan (Sumac) Wax, alternatively spelled sumach wax, is a wax produced from pressing the fruit of the Rhus succedanea plant, referred to as the Japanese wax tree and belonging to the Anarchadiaceae or sumac family. The high palmitic acid content (C 16:0) is characteristic for the fatty acid range of this product. Melting point: range of 110 - 132 degrees F.

Japan Wax is a pale-yellow, waxy, water-insoluble solid with a gummy feel. The wax is a harder, more brittle wax than some other waxes, growing in popularity throughout the cosmetic and personal-care industries for its emulsifying and moisturizing benefits in personal-care formulations. Bulk Japan wax is an economical vegan option, commonly referred to as Berry Wax or Vegetable Wax, and is found in various makeup products such as eye pencils, lipsticks, and other beauty products.
