Very large, unusual and detailed antique copper engraved map of Moscovy (Russia), by Guillaume Delisle (1675-1726), dated 1706,18th Century.

The map is engraved by Liebaux le fils. The map extends from Laponia and Vaselskoi Boranday in north to Ukraine and a part of Lituania in south.


Guillaume Delisle (1675-1726) is a famous French cartographer known for his popular and accurate maps of Europe and the newly explored Americas.  

A large nice decorative cartouche in colors.



Size with margins : 105 x 67,4 cm / 41,3 x 26,3 inches.


Condition : good condition, upper and lower margin cleverly extended, handed colored, on strong paper.


Edition : Paris, 18th Century, dated 1706, edited in 1731 (cf. Rumsey).
