There is nothing quite like ringing in the New Year in the studio. Traditionally I like to review the previous year and take a look at the work I've done over the past 365 days. This year it was different as. I was given a gift of a new model who suggested I spend the day drawing her instead. She had never posed nude for me before. Like all my models she chose the poses she felt most comfortable in and the results of these quick life drawings were spectacular. Here is just one of many that I created to ring in the new year!

This work of art is done on acid-free paper. The drawing is created in Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink. The ink line drawing goes from burnt sienna to black in some areas and is intentional. The work is signed. I provide a certificate of authenticity.

About the Artist

A renowned contemporary artist with over 40 years of professional practice, Stewart Fletcher has a degree in Fine Arts from John Abbott College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University. Fletcher’s paintings, drawings and works on paper have been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions over the past forty years, and his paintings and drawings are in over 400 private and corporate collections in 20 countries. He is in the studio daily and has an art gallery open to the public.

Known for his fascination with the human body, Fletcher explores various concepts that go beyond the representational image. He is also passionate about metaphysics, compositional space and the interplay between colours. He often uses humour and satire to convey his message.
