Cover with entire long letter signed J.D.B Dykes, Lawns Lodgings Harrogate, 6th Oct 1829, to Steel in Cockermouth, “that wretch Thompson, old doe Hervey” etc; HARROWGATE undated horseshoe postmark in red, clear JDBD monogram red wax seal on the back.  Small repaired patch + some ageing.
