DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for a fabulous and extremely interesting, large specimen of Halite, better known as natural salt ( Sodium Chloride). The specimen is snow white and exhibits some huge, perfect cubic crystals. The specimen pictured here, is from a dried up salt lake in San Bernardino, California. It's not an expensive specimen but is a worthy addition to any collection, challenge your friends to try to guess what it is. Most will say calcite, quartz etc but when they eventually give up, just ask them to lick it and then the penny will drop!

It stands perfectly on its own but we will provide a new deluxe mineral stand absolutely FREE in case you prefer to use one and send it to you by FREE tracked Royal mail First Class delivery. We have included a 1cm square cube in some of the photographs to give you an idea of how large this spectacular specimen is. It's rare, beautiful and offered here at an absolutely unbeatable price. Please make sure to display this mineral in a dry environment. Halite is hydrophilic ( absorbs water) and will slowly disappear if kept in a moist or damp environment.
