Jacek Malczewski is one of the greatest artists in the history of Polish painting, whose works are also of particular interest to the public and researchers from outside Poland. His work is the backbone of all presentations of Polish art of the modernist period, and at the same time appears at exhibitions showing European art at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The works collected in the album allow us to trace and rediscover the next stages of the development of the painter's work. The album is a selection of Malczewski's most accurate works: oil paintings, watercolors and drawings from the entire period of his creativity. The reader will find there over 50 well-known and less known reproductions, supplemented with an introduction by Dorota Suchocka, a retired curator of the Gallery of Polish Art at the National Museum in Poznań.
